bad trip - Unpleasant LSD experience.
 
ball - Short for "eight-ball" the street term for 1/8 of an ounce of crystal meth.
 
barbiturate - A drug within a family of depressants derived from barbituric acid and used as a sedative-hypnotic and anti epileptic medication. (downers)
 
behavior modification - The application of experimentally derived principles of learning for the treatment of psychological disorders.
 
benzodiazepines - Drugs that relieve anxiety or are prescribed as sedatives; among the most widely prescribed medications, including valium and Librium

bong - Cylindrical water pipe for smoking narcotics, especially marijuana.
 
borderline personality disorder - Symptoms of borderline personality disorder, a serious mental illness, include pervasive instability in moods, interpersonal relationships, self-image, and behavior.
 
bottom - Occurs when individuals stop their drinking or using because they have experienced a traumatic experience caused by their substance abuse.
 
boundaries - Limits that individuals set on behavior that they will and will not allow in their lives and/or homes.
 
brown - Street slang for heroin.
 
brown sugar - Street slang for heroin.
 
buprenorphine - Recently approved medication that has been successful in eliminating severe withdrawal symptoms that occur during opiate detox.
